I Tried Studying at Night to Make Up for a Late Morning – Here’s What Happened
Some days don’t start as planned. My alarm rang, but I slept through it, waking up late and losing my morning study time. To make up for it, I decided to study at night.
My Night Study Plan
8:30 PM - 10:30 PM: Study session
- 10:30 PM - 11:00 PM: Coffee and a shower to stay fresh
- 11:00 PM - 11:30 PM: A short nap to recharge
- 11:30 PM - 2:30 AM: Another study session
It seemed like a good idea at the time. The night was quiet, distractions were fewer, and I felt productive.
The Next Morning: Reality Check
But when the sun rose, I felt completely exhausted. My mind was slow, my energy was low, and even simple tasks felt difficult. Though I had studied well at night, the next day was wasted because I couldn’t function properly.
What I Learned
- Night study works, but it drains energy for the next day.
- Mornings are still the best for consistent study.
- Losing sleep affects focus more than missing a few hours of study.
Final Verdict
I managed to study, but the exhaustion wasn’t worth it. Instead of fixing my sleep, I just shifted the problem to the next day. Lesson learned—it's better to fix the morning than to stay up all night.
Have you ever tried night studying? Did it work for you?
